| Safely shipping hazardous materials is very important to the safety of our nation and communities. The DOT (Department of Transportation) enforces proper shipping of these materials through the regulations in the 49CFR Parts 100-185 (Code of Federal Regulations Title 49 - Transportation). These regulations identify what materials are considered hazardous, how they should be packaged for safe shipment, and what testing should be done to the packaging to ensure the safe shipment of these materials. |
